So I finsished my lower receiver. When I finish my AR build I want to get a silencer for my AR. Anyone have any tips? Good cheap silencer? I know I'll have to get a trust for it to be given to me when I'm 18. And 200 dollar tax stamp and wait about 4 months. Any suggestions?

If you get something along the lines of a Gemtech Halo, then is works with the A2 flash hider.

Other two common options are a bi lock (quick disconnect) which you need the special flash hider with the the lugs ... but these are $100 each.

Last option is thread on, lowest cost and works well but is slower mounting.

All that said, would not go cheep on the suppressor as you have $200 into when you get it and another $200 need to be paid if you wish to sell and upgrade later ... so best to spend money once, even if you have to wait.

Keep in mind your trust will cost $600+, and you are looking at $500+ for the supressor (any word on how much the new Huntertown will run?), plus stamp.

Wait a bit and Huntertown Arms should have their 5.56 suppressor available....

great products from what I've seen/heard, and very competitively priced.

Thats what im holding out for.

A2 style compensator can just screw off when you want to thread a suppressor and then put back on when your done. At least I wouldnt see why not.

Does anyone know anything about the Huntertown 5.56 can coming out - like size, materials or MSRP? I am waiting on my tax stamp for a Guardian. All I hear is how great they are - haven't heard a Guardian but have a lot of faith in my can guy who says it will sound better than my current 22 LR can - and I'm happy with that one. So, the Guardian - I have no worries.
