BTW, I have a set of RR Trek 8 wheels, that i was gonna put on my Renegade and never did.
Got em on sale, 4 for $150 each. Also have 5mm spacers to make em fit newer Limited models.
The spacers came w new longer 1 pc lug bolts, so can dump the factory ones that swell and corrode. Spacers were 100 bucks a pair. So I have 800 bucks worth of "wheels" for her Renegade.

Wonder how much I should charge LOL.

I keep looking at a Renegade Trailhawk. Won't buy a '21 or '22 since new facelift is on '23 models.
Dealer has quite a few '22 on lot (recent delivery). Ideally find a 2018 glacier metallic one, low miles and not thrashed.

Of course I score a beater CJ or YJ and I'll forgo another Renegade.
Drove the ol lady in hers to ER this last week, the Renegades are fun.

I'm low buckin things to pay my Cherokee off ASAP.
Man I HATE HATE HATE having a car payment.
Almost hate it as much as late night wrenching to drive my POS to work the next day.
Glad those days are over LOL
Just gotta grumble as an old fart. about having a car payment.

Really like the old ZJs, but they're rotted out by now.
Wiring in doors gets old/stiff and breaks..........even if babied old stuff just deteriorates.
    Sucks as I'd drive a 5.2L w 2" budget boost on 31s every day.
had about 15 yrs behind ZJs, like em a lot.

Finally got my buddies 02 Sahara up and running with the Vortec 5.3

What adventure swapping in an engine and its computer and trying to make it all work with the original jeep dash cluster. Just need to tidy up the wires a little bit.

It’s an absolute beast now having a five speed manual versus the old automatic

Hadn’t thought about this thread in a while. I sold my XJ. Life changed and was no longer prudent or fiscally responsible for me to own it. I needed something more practical due to the loss of my company car.

A young man was beaming when he drove away in that Jeep. He knew he got one done right.

    Update:

Sold the wonderful old 2008 JK with 193k miles on it. Hated to see her go. So many memories. Such a great Jeep! It's in good hands. The new owner is a real Jeep guy. He'll keep her going for a long, long time.

I picked up this 2021 JT in late October with 45k miles on it and in perfect condition. I added a 2.5" AEV Dualsport lift, FAD skid plate, and 35" Kenda Klever AT tires. I also installed a Bed Rug and next up will be a winch and new front bumper, probably a stubby.

Why the Kenda's? I've never tried those. So I'm curious. Not exactly mainstream.
On a Jeep forum a couple years ago, someone posted what we thought was a mistaken price on Walmart.com for these tires at $80 each. I took a chance and ordered 10 of them for $800. I expected them to notify me that the price was in error and refund the money. Instead, 10 of them arrived a few days later! So I put one set on the JK and ran them in Moab, where they performed superbly, both on the looooong drive there and back and on the trail. I wish I had not put them on that Jeep, but the KO2's were worn out. I then sold the Jeep. When I lifted the Gladiator, I put the other set on it. They are really nice. They ride well, are quiet, and are excellent in the rain. They are on the aggressive side for an AT, with wide gaps between lugs, so it is surprising how quiet they are. I do a 5 tire rotation, so I expect long life out of them.

I would have put the first set on my JL, but the General Grabber X3's on it have hardly worn. But the new tires were a good selling point on the JK, so I am sure the value was a bit higher because of them.

Added a Rugged Ridge Arcus and Tactik 10k winch to the Gladiator last week. I put a Badlands closed-loop shackle mount on the winch Saturday (A steal at Harbor Freight for $26) and then threw a coat of Turtle Wax Graphene Flexwax on it tonight. I'm going to hate to take it off road and get it dirty! (Just kidding!) Lol!

I am going to take it to Kentucky for its first trail runs sometime in September and then possibly for a bigger trip to Colorado in October. Next up is a CB and antenna and a dash cam. After that, I'll probably add a snorkel and maybe some seat covers. I'm really not a fan of the leather. I have cloth in my JL and you don't slide around on it like the leather. I also plan some lights and a power outlet in the bed. The final touch might be a stronger front tie-rod and nodular iron Dana diff covers. But for now I really just want to get it on the trail.

Lol, it's going to get a lifetime of trails....starting soon with a trial run to either Daniel Boone National Forest in Kentucky or Turkey Bay ORV area at Land Between the Lakes, Kentucky. Then it will be ready for either a Fall or Spring trip to Colorado. God willing, MANY off-road adventures await this rig!
