I try, but I suck at it. Might try to go a few more times to the course a mile up the road. The one across the street is too advanced for me. Might have to hit the range across the street though. Meant to go to the range last year but never did make it. As for clubs, it is what my friend gave me to use years ago. He has never asked for them back yet. I had a hybrid club that I broke (I bought off him) and he was going to have fixed I haven't seen in a while.
I had a set of clubs that was my Grandpa's, let a co worker use them. He got fired and i am sure they are gone.
I've been playing for probably 30 yrs. Last year I played the most I've ever played.
Took a couple of lessons last year, should of done that years ago. Got a bag full of
Callaway X20's and bought a new driver last year, a Razr Fit. The adjustments actually helped with my slice too.
I don't carry on the course. There might be a few less geese around the greens, if you know what I mean.
Usually hit a Mojo ball, but thinking about fully switching to a Pro V1 this season. They're pretty damn expensive though. But they do feel nice around the greens.
I do carry on the course, usually I slide it into the cubby in the golf cart right in front of me with my keys and cell phone. I only golf with very close friends, and one of us is always in the cart so I am not worried about someone stealing it, and it doesn't slide around or anything. Slide it back on when going into the clubhouse or the snack bar.
Lowest I shot last year was a 78 on a par 72, with my best friend one stroke behind me at a 79. It was windy, raining, but it was the best damn golf either of us has ever played. What clubs do you have?
I was playing Titleist DCI 981, with a 907 D2 driver, powerbuilt 5 wood, and ping anser putter. I have finally talked the wife into letting me buy a brand new set of clubs, as I have always had used clubs. Was wondering if anyone here has ever played Cobra irons? Been looking at the S3 and the AMP irons, I am sticking with Titleist drivers.
I wish it wasn't going to rain today and tomorrow, or I'd be out there. I may hit up the range anyway. I played quite a bit last year, since I was in a league. My goal for the last few years is to break 80. If I could get the driver and the putter to work on the same day, I should accomplish my goal, but that never happens. It got so bad last year, that I would just hit my 2 iron off the tee.
I actually just picked up a blended set of used Titleist CB/MB. I haven't hit them yet, but I've always wanted to try blades. It's going to be hard to put the Zunos away, since they are so sweet to hit, but we'll see.
EDIT: No, I leave my pistol in my truck when I'm on the course.
I'm just a hacker been playin couple times a month (summer) for 4 years still stuck around that 100 mark but I love it. I have 2008 big Bertha irons, I absolutely love them. Callaway hyper X driver 3&5 wood. I can't hit a 3 wood off the fairway to save my life. I swear by the mojo ball, inexpensive hits straighter and longer for me than any other ball I've tried.
I play about one time a week throughout the season, sometimes a little more sometimes a little less. I have worked at several different courses throughout the years (my degree is in Turf Science), I used to play almost everyday but cant do it anymore.
Been playing for 22 years, last year was the first that I never got out, but money was tight so something had to go. Last time I played a lot was about 4 years ago, was playing 4 or 5 times a week and spent the second half of the season with a 2 handicap
Taylor Made R7 Driver
Taylor Made Burner 3 wood
old Ping Zing 2 black dot irons, 4 through SW
Titliest Vokey 52 degree
old Wilson Gooseneck 56 degree SW
Wilson 8815 putter
usually use ProV1, but may have to try and find something cheaper when this box is gone
