Since the Starbucks dust up, it's apparent the gun-grabbers' focus has been to sway individual businesses to their side. And to a certain extent, they've demonstrated it's easier to persuade corporate officers than it is state and federal legislators. Lately, thanks to the sensationalism brought on by one group, they've gotten some cheap and easy help in pushing their agenda. It does make sense (if you're them) to leverage that approach and I'm not surprised to see a bunch of businessmen in tourist town jump on a perceived bandwagon

The real obstacle to her ideology is not the millions of dollars the NRA has at its disposal, but the millions of citizens who sent their dollars to the NRA in the first place. Despite the mewling, the NRA doesn't have a sugar daddy Bloomberg to give them a blank check.

If she wants to look at craziness, well, any need to look further than the "Everytown" false flag op?

I suppose there are gun owners, maybe even NRA members, who don't put enough emphasis on responsibility and safety, but they would be the exception not the rule.

A new organization, Evolve, has positioned itself as a home for gun owners who place an emphasis on responsibilities as well as rights.

    I call BS.

So does that mean LEO are going to stop carrying their badges, uniforms, firearms, handcuffs, whomp ass sticks, etc. openly because it ruins their "tactical advantage"?

Besides, if getting rid of tourists was as easy as open carrying, locals would have been open carrying en masse in Nashville long ago

"It's that parallel universe – a dystopian hellscape, really – that poses a more subtle challenge. Because it's one thing to undo an organization, but it's another to unmake an ideology or, more specifically, to coax paranoiacs out of their fear."

without contex this could mean many things

NRA is not moderate? It is an organization with pretty limited goals. Firearms education/safety and protecting the second admendment. How is that conservative or liberal?
