I go to a private university in Illinois. What are the laws for having a handgun, in the trunk of my car, locked in a case, separated from the ammunition? Is it any different than if it was a public school or is it just completely illegal altogether?

    Thanks

    from the page:
Non carry state. Carrying firearms in Illinois is very difficult unless unloaded and stored so they are not accessible.
