The outrage should also be directed at the judges who signed these warrants. They are supposed to be more than just a rubber stamp on what LE wants to do. This also goes for no knock warrants in many situations. When LE oversteps its bounds and gets sued by the citizen can the judge be sued also?

You would have a hard case in overstepping bounds when law enforcement has a warrant, the scope for qualified immunity becomes huge.

Judges have absolute immunity for judicial acts.

So what is to prevent some over-zealous "officials" from stepping over the line? You tell me there is no oversight but we don't live in a "police state", which is it?

What is essentially now the Waffen-SS has raided a former journalist for the Washington Times. They took personal documents they felt were related to a "leak" about air marshals, as well as her legal firearms.

How's that for journalist intimidation? Not the first time this has happened under this administration.
At this point, who sits in the big boy chair is going to be rather moot. The government is its own entity at this point, and even the sitting POTUS would be unable to rein it in and control these behaviors. What we have here is government protecting its power. We will see that under any administration. Until government is controlled, Jesus himself could occupy the WH and it wouldn't make much of a difference.

jeez, this stuff is crazy...I fully expect to have a few Marines shacked up at my house before the end of Obama's term...3rd amendment be damned
Don't worry, SCOTUS will rule their version of quartering is Constitutional, so you'll be good to go.

Judges have absolute immunity for judicial acts.
    Even illegal ones?

So, honest question, what do you do in this situation?

The slow-boil of tyranny in the country guarantees that no one will react. Events happen, one by one, but it's never big enough to fight back about it.

I think the same people that scream that they'll protect the Constitution are in the same situation - Slow boil. Things like this are happening, one by one... but we just sit back and say "Gosh that's real dumb, they better not do that again!..."

And they do, again, and again, and again.

This is my primary worry. I've got DHS at my door, and no one there to help... or one of us is in hiding, but everyone else is waiting for it to happen to them. Patriotism is already nearly classified as a mental illness today... so it's not like anyone will be on your side if something were to happen.

You know the old saying... "First they came... and I said nothing. Then they came for me... and there was no one left to speak for me."

This **** right here. This is what keeps me up at night. We all say we're fighting the good fight, but the numbers are stacked against us. Yeah, it's real nice that the military is probably on our side... but it's not like they'll be standing at my door if/when they come for me.
Well, you can do like this guy, but there will be repercussions for your actions, should you survive. Even if you were in the right, they will do everything in their power to destroy you.

There will be those who condescendingly deny claims of a police state, even as the police state becomes incontrovertible. Even as they're tearing apart our houses and arresting us just for speaking out and saying something the government doesnt like they will be there assuring us that we're wrong, that what we see isn't "the whole story", and that we just don't understand the risk they take trashing everything we once held dear, and they will think we should admire and respect them for it. Well I have news... I personally hate them with a passion and hope they die a slow, pain-filled death.

Where are all the guys that said law enforcement will refuse to violate the constitution?

Apparently none of said officers work for that dept, or at least not on that shift.

Its amazing how many people just let the police walk all over them. On the drive home tonight I saw a Trooper had a black pickup pulled over. driver was standing beside the officer on the passenger side as he appeared to be allowing the officer to search his truck. He wasnt cuffed, So I assume the officer had a hunch and just asked "Pretty please? If you have nothing to hide, you wont mind me looking, RIGHT?"

There is no question. The country is gone. It is a socialist nation with a dictator willing the threaten and ruin the lives of those against him. There is no more guessing and thinking "i just dont know anymore", or "whats happened to this country", its clear, its gone. i dont believe voting even matters anymore with the amount of fraud from voter id, to 100% of votes in a county going to one party, to dead people voting, more votes in counties than registered voters and population of that county, texas need to break away, then we all can move and start over. not sure of any other place left to go.
