I use a stonerholsters.com universal ankle wrap around. It holds my Kel-Tec .380, my G26, and my S&W 2" snubbie revolver. ALL of them much closer to the ankle than any others that were specially fitted for those models.
I'll put my G27 (.40 cal 180gr Speer Gold Dot x 9+1 rounds) against your little 5-6 shooter any day.s&w airwieght is good for this. carried this way for awhile without problems and a wheel gun is more reliable than other mouse guns
If you ever get any "mad money" you might try the Ankle Glove. I have several ankle rigs that I bought earlier. They are okay but the Ankle Glove is made differently. You don't feel the bulge of the gun because it is simply a holster mated to a band. The others are like a band with a wide spot for the gun and when I tighten them up I feel the piece. When I used them I would put a cut piece of old wash cloth between my ankle and the bulge so my skin wouldn't get tender after a couple hours. Not with the Ankle Glove. It's the best.I carry a S&W Bodygaurd in my Galco Cop Series CAB2XS. It's very comfortable using a wrist band as additional padding. I carry it on the inside on my left ankle and it is secure enough to allow for running without it moving around, yet comfortable enough that it does not cut off the circulation in my foot.
How do you find retention for that style of holster?
