I've watched 2 seasons with interest and horror, but the last episode grossed me out so much I cancelled the series. If witches weren't pretty I might have cancelled long ago. It mixes classic horror/mutilation/evil/grossness with soft core porn. Let's call it horror porn. The series has some real movie stars. I'm not sure how it's doing with the public, but if it's possible for a shark to 'jump the shark' the last episode did it for me. Anyone else watch it this far?

I loved the scene in 'Species' in the pool until she (Natasha Henstridge) sticks her tongue through the guy's head. What a babe, but with anger management issues....Can't get that out of my head.

Neither can the guy with the tongue in the head.

    I like Natsha Henstridge.

I see Connie is in American Horror Story. I've liked her since Spin City.

We have the first 2 seasons on DVD. Just watched them during the big break between episodes for the holidays and loved them both. It's one of those show's that always keeps you guessing. Been watching the third season as well. I like it, but not as much as the first 2. Still pretty good though in my eyes. I don't mind the gore and all that, so that's not gonna turn me away from the show. Only thing at this point that will ruin it for me is if the writing takes a major turn for the worse. I love that Kathy Bates is in this season. I love her in these kind of roles. Also pretty bummed out that Jessica Lange is leaving after this season. I'm a little worried about next season as I kind of feel she is an integral part of the overall "feel" of the show. Some of her performances in this show have just been simply awesome. Absolutely loved her as Sister Jude in season 2. I'm kinda hoping Kathy Bates will stick around for next season as her replacement. I guess we'll see. Season 1 was my favorite so far though. Lots of twists and turns throughout that season that I didn't see coming, (may be a teeny tiny spoiler in this next part for those who haven't watched and plan to) such as the events surrounding the daughter! I had kinda guessed that had happened to her, but was still somewhat surprised once it was actually revealed as well! Yep.. I'm hooked so far. Lol

Lange has turned in some startling performances. I wondered if she's been recognized by her peers. Remember Kathy Bates in 'At Play in the Fields of the Lord.' Totally whacked out, dancing around naked, covered in mud. I've seen too much of her naked. lol. I prefer her in films like 'Fried Green Tomatoes.' Her Muligatawny *ss soup scene followed by her dismembering toes hit my limit. Gross & nasty.*

Anyone else remember when Terri Gross and Cecilia Nasti had shows here on NPR. I used to hope they'de do a show together. Gross & Nasti

From what I understand about the series the seasons are supposed to be stand alone. I guess after this season there will be a new story line.

I punch babies when I hear or read the phrase "jumped the shark" or "jumping the shark".

That said, I've never heard of American Horror Story.
