The only issue I have with the AMD-65's is that you have to use a USA magazine to stay 922r compliant.

Thanks for the primer. A buddy of mine recently purchased a Saiga and was planning on upgrading several parts. Neither one of us had even heard of 922r before I read your post.

Thats a good deal since the presidential gun Rush Begin. Just last year you could buy an AMD for about 350... so You still end up paying 200$ for the 500rds this way. Wish I had bought one last year. grrr

How would they be violating anything? Its not illegal to own them unless you have a criminal record and aren't allowed to own guns.

I think they sold out anyway. I found out from them they were Centruy build and not the Hungarian ones that are on other sites for the same price with the ammo.

He's referring to violating 922r by using a normal imported magazine.

They kind of cut some corners when making the AMD65's and so you are limited legally to using magazines made from US components...
