Again Jumping the Shark. Never did I say or post that.

And again i'm not the one in a position to have to retire with an underfunded 401K with Social Security.
When people move around you tend to loose being vested in anything.
How can that make good sense?
How much money would you have in your control if it all had gone into a 401K? More or less?

You dont want to know, it would really hurt your feelings.
And im really good with the benefit office investing my money.
I let that elderly educated college investment guy take care of my money.
Hes taken care of my money better than 40 years now, all with the same company too.
Like Forest said, its one less thing I need to worry about.
I will let you worry about getting control of my penison fund.

Bought 350 lbs of brass today from a 10 year retired Teamster driver.
His 30+ year penison is also impressive.

    I heard it in Pee-Wee Herman's voice.
    Probably the bow tie.

I was wearing a bow tie, but I'd like to think I'm more like Chris Kimball.

Wonder what the potential unionization will do to Amazon's constantly improving/impressive customer service options?

I just got a delivery, on Easter Sunday...

    .

Not sure what they would do.
I worked 30 years in a union. And Sundays, and Holidays were pretty much irrelevant.
I worked most Sunday, and most Holidays.
Other than more pay, it was just another work day.

Is Amazon already paying overtime for weekends and holidays? Or is the possible addition of this going to change scheduling and or raise prices?

As of late, Amazon Prime has made a fortune off of me with their 'instant gratification" of very fast shipping, regardless of the weekend and now holidays.

Prior to the last few months, Amazon purchases from Thursday on would be pushed off until the following Tuesday.

While you certainly cannot always count on Amazon being the best pricing, they are often competitive, with sometimes best pricing.

    Same her (my wife's order).

I also saw a USPS truck run down the street. :n00b:
My sister received a USPS delivered package on Christmas day a few years ago. Evidently next day priority is delivered on holidays, at least it was back then. She was surprised, she saw something online that her husband had wanted and wasn't able to find, so she ordered it and figured it would come maybe the day after Christmas and he could have it as a belated present. Nope it showed up on her porch Christmas morn.

Depends on how shifts are layed out.
Most distribution centers work four different shifts.
Tues- fri 10 hour day and night shifts.
And sat-mon 12 hour day and night shifts.
If working on a holiday one can get 1 1/2 pay for working and normal hours worked for holiday pay.
