I read about that one somewhere. IIRC The guy was sporting clays and had the muzzle resting on his foot. For whatever reason he didn't have it broken open, and he "acted stupidly" by pulling the trigger to check the condition....

I had a student in class years back that was missing his big toe. Rabbit hunting with his dad, rested it on his shoe, pulled the trigger. I asked him if it bled a lot, said nope, cauterized the end instantly. Some things just make you shudder!!!!

Why on earth would it cross your mind to rest the barrel upon your toe. Now I did not grow up hunting but have been around firearm alot as an adult and do not ever feeel complacent as if I can be careless or lose my train of thought when handling any firearm.

Man that had to hurt and scare the crap out of the folks next to them.. Hope they brought underwear!
