Just thought I would update this thread. A minute ago, out of sheer curiosity, I hit up gunbroker and punched in "Saiga." I found an UNCONVERTED 7.62x39 with ONE 30rd mag; 5 bids $795.00, 3 hours left. Buy it now price of $1,040.00

    :wow:

I might need to dig through the safe and post an AK or two for sale:laugh:

What cracks me up about this, it's a ban compliant rifle . No bayonet lug, pistol grip, or threaded barrel. Plus no bullet guide for standard high capacity mags. And on top of that, no mag dimples.

LOL On vacation in Wisconsin my grandparents local gun dealer was trying to sell me a regular wood stock ak for $1200. Said distributors were raising their prices. I loled and went on my way.

I don't remember what it was just that it was basic ak design with no accessories. I was price comparing for my father who was only willing to pay around $500.

Yeah, my uncle was wanting a $300 AK. I just started laughing and said that will never happen. And this is a guy who makes +$300,000 a year, but too cheap to buy a top-dollar rifle.

It will be interesting to see how prices are at the 1500 gun show. Not sure there are any good deals out there.
