    Push the screw in the grip. Use a large screwdriver to keep it in as you use your non-dominant finger to push down on the nut from inside the receiver.

    That's not much a secret.

    Rubber cement, black electrical tape, putty. . .

    That's what I'm talking about! Tell me more - tape the nut down? It's tricky to hold the long screw lined up blindly.

    I lay the gun on its side while I put in the grip screw. That seems to work well for me. YMMV
