I've been trying to translate it... Serbian Bato = blow; Romanian daca = if
I hope to hear the true translation/story too...I did see somewhere it
translated into "audacious blow", but I'm most likely in left field.
I wish I still had the link, but there is a site that has a lot of the Yugoslavian stock art documented and translated.
Much of it is along the lines of what you say...indicating a very serious amount of force applied to the enemy. Usually there are unit numbers, names of loved ones, and often a lot of crosses and family coat of arms.
