My old RWS Diana M48 side-cocker springer .22 has got us a LOT of dinners over the years. Squirrels and cottontails taken cleanly out to 40+ yards. Only downsides are weight (about 8# with scope) and a pretty stout cocking effort. Accuracy is stellar and build quality 1st rate.

Yes they are! A side-cocker is not one that I have. The last couple of months, I have been thinking hard on one, in .22 as well.

That M48 is nice built I installed the spring kit in a customer M48 and it pushes about 1015 on average with 21 gr HN baracuda match

Hatsan Model 95 Vortex QE Combo .22 cal

Had it at least 8 years and it's held up well. It's quick and quiet but it's heavy, about 7.5 pounds. A lot of that weight is front heavy so it's kind of akward.
