    Added a 1931 Winchester model 57 22LR to my collection today. Got it at the Shipshewana gun show. It shoots good and the metal has a patina that appeals to me but the stock is going to get a facelift.IMG_0155.jpeg

    Looks beautiful! I’d leave the stock as-is personally but you do you. Love that classic look and the wear and tear of time.
    Great find on a classic rifle...I have an older Stevens single-shot, bolt-action .22 that is more accurate than I am! Fun to Shoot!
    I concur with leaving the stock 'stock'...and the stock looks like it's already had a sealed treatment of some kind done to it.
    If anything, maybe removed the 'sealed' look and leave a satin appearance about it? Otherwise, beautiful old rifle!
