Added another 22

Added a 1931 Winchester model 57 22LR to my collection today. Got it at the Shipshewana gun show. It shoots good and the metal has a patina that appeals to me but the stock is going to get a facelift.

If you are in to patina, great. But that one would clean up to look like new in about 2 hours on the metal...

Great find on a classic rifle...I have an older Stevens single-shot, bolt-action .22 that is more accurate than I am! Fun to Shoot!
I concur with leaving the stock 'stock'...and the stock looks like it's already had a sealed treatment of some kind done to it.
If anything, maybe removed the 'sealed' look and leave a satin appearance about it? Otherwise, beautiful old rifle!

A late friend of mine had a model 56 of the same vintage. I've only seen one other in my life. If I ever find one in good condition it will probably go home with me.
