That quip came from a running joke here on Ingo.
Some time back, in response to a sparse introduction post, I quoted Simon and Garfunkle's song Mrs. Robinson, from the movie, "The Graduate".
In the song, one line says, "We'd like to know a little bit about you for our files..."

Well, the new guy didn't take it too well.
He went head first into the deep end, started insulting mods, calling people out in open threads...

He was a rising Phoenix, for a couple of hours I think, and then got himself banned.
Like Icarus, he flew too close to the sun and burned up.

We do like to learn at least something about the people on here, mainly because a lot of us end up buying/selling/trading...with each other, and we want to know who we're dealing with.

You'll find this to be a very tight knit community, but open and welcoming to those who wish to participate in the discussions, and not just come here for the classifieds.

I truly hope you stick around. The more the merrier.
Put on your flame proof suit if you enter the political thread, or want to put pineapple on pizza.

I dont candy coat, and I dont pacify or placate.
If I cant give an educated, honest response (without sounding trollful) I'll keep my mouth shut...
And I can take a lot crap - I'm a Plumbing Contractor!

Forgot to say I came here because I was looking for like-minded "'mericans" to chat and trade with, without the trolls of FB, which I dont do...
I only go there on my wife's page to Marketplace... Pansies! Can't buy, sell, or trade guns there!
