And BTW... "President Hussein" is a lot more respectful than just calling him by his middle initial, as was done for Bush for eight years, or the even-less-respectful, "Dubya". At least Hussein is what we are told is his full middle name, and he's actually getting the title of the office he's occupying.

It's also far more polite and respectful than some other names I could think of for him, and no, none of them have anything to do with his skin color. I usually fall back on "bastard" when his actions anger me, partly because it's an expletive, but far more because it's 100% true and irrefutable.

    Blessings,
    Bill

Call me crazy, but the only time I have seen people call him by that name, it is meant in a bigoted way. Even Rush doesn't allow it on his show. If anyone would like to put themselves on the same level as most liberals have been on for the past 8 years, and refer to the POTUS in a derogatory manner, then go ahead. You are free to wallow in the pits of hate, prejudice and judgement just like they were.

I don't agree with his views or policies either and I can think of many names that fit him well (socialist, pinko, etc), but I would never refer to someone in a bigoted manner because of their race, religion, etc.

Now, I'm not going to put words into Joe Williams mouth, so regardless if it was meant in a bigoted manner, calling him by Hussein is going to turn a lot of people off to your message. That's just a matter of fact. That is something you DO NOT WANT when a "crackdown" seems imminent. It's bad enough legal gun owners are already seen as bigoted, white and separatists.

He chose the name Hussein. I just call him obamatard. If that's bigotry, then so be it. I can be respectful of the OFFICE of the President, but by God, I have every right to hate and shun the man.

Fallacy of argument ad hominem. And, no, I don't mean Joe Williams, I mean you. His point is his point, regardless of whether he chose to use Obama's middle name to address him or not.

And my point is that when you choose to address the POTUS as Hussein, you lose credibility, as it's seen as being used in a bigoted way.

I'll refrain from going into more detail as I have already done so in another post.

I'm pretty sure that calling him president Hussein is NOT equivalent to calling Bush "W".

Either way, Bush did more for the individual rights of all of us than this fraud in office is, has, and will do for all of us. Yes, Bush passed the Patriot Act and did many other things that were less than good for us all. But given the war on terror, or whatever you wish to call it, I think he did a pretty good job. Sure he put us in debt. Any war would have. Especially when your enemy is not a Nation.

I would say that the Patriot Act did horrible damage to individual rights. Now that government is starting to look into "domestic terrorist threats", we might see true tyranny in America, again.

Bush's flaw, as most President's flaws are, is that they have to rely on too many people. Government is so bloated, one can not manage everything effectively.

    Savage,

I would say that is not bigotry, unless you are making fun of special olympic bowlers! :D

I assume you mean "hate" the man as President because I feel the same way. I just hope he's a better father then he is as a politician.

He is actually using his full middle GIVEN name. If that is bigotry the SOB should change his middle name to Frank. Or Bubba. Whatever would make you more comfortable. Either way, Making you more comfortable above all others is what has destroyed this Country thus far.

EDIT: Allow me to clarify. Bowing to every persons whim is what is destroying this Country.

I would say that the Patriot Act did horrible damage to individual rights. Now that government is starting to look into "domestic terrorist threats", we might see true tyranny in America, again.

Yes, like I said, the Patriot Act was horrible. BUT lets compare Appointments thus far... Bush gave us a Great UN Ambassador. obamatard gave us a dumb prick that wants us to be under UN rule. Bush gave us great SCOTUS Judges. obamatard gave us a judge that is very anti-Constitutional. Bush had a great press sec. obamatard gave us a babbling idiot.

Bush was a bad President. obamatard is shaping up to be the Anti-Christ. He isn't the AC, but by God, he sure is destroying this Country.

I think we have EVERY right to **** on this man in every form of the word. If you can't handle that, I'm sorry. Maybe.

Hate me for my feelings, that's fine. I don't care. I still respect the Office. I hate the man. I can't wait for a good reason to impeach the SOB.

LOL I don't make fun of people with disabilities, unless stupidity is a disablility....

I'd say so far he looks like a Good father. He might have different values that he teaches his kids, but as long as he doesn't neglect them, not feed them, or beat them for no reason, or abandon them, then I'd say . Otherwise he's just not the man for the job.

Paul Helmke was an idiot as Mayor of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and continues to prove over and over how stupid he really is. It is a tragedy that these shootings continue to happen, but let us not forget it's not the gun that kills people. It is someone making a conscience decision to take another humans life. I like what I have read on other post here if guns kill people, then pencil's mis-spell words.

You really need to look up argument ad hominem. You're still doing it.

I'll lay long odds you can't point to anywhere where you objected to someone calling Bush "Dubya" or "Chimpy McBushhitler" or the like during the last eight years.

And just because you assign "bigotry" to it, doesn't make it so. In my experience, the use of Obama's middle name is most often in direct and deliberate reflection of the use of "Dubya" by the left. Sauce for the Goose, as it were. And here you are, demonstrating the left's double standard in all its ignominy.

The deficit issue is as much a legacy of Clinton as it is anything to lay at Bush's feet. One of the ways Clinton "balanced" the budget was by hacking away at military maintenance and training so that he could engage in his own foreign adventures. Bush inherited a crippled shell of a military which had to be rebuilt in all the things like parts, training, ammunition, etc. All of that costs money, a lot of money, that was going to have to be spent whether people deployed or not. A large part of the "cost of the war" was actually the cost of fixing the mess Clinton left behind.

And while I wouldn't say the Patriot Act was good, it was nowhere near as bad as the talking heads on the media screaming about it make it out to be. Many of the things claimed about it (which, unfortunately, too many folk, including those here on this board believe) are simply not true.

My biggest concern regarding the Patriot Act is that all of these horrible things that the left claim it grants to Bush are things they will now assume it grants to them--whether it actually does so or not--and act accordingly. Remember that a strong majority of the democrats in Congress voted for it--twice.

And this is why we may lose. The RIGHT is NOT willing to fight at the same level as the LEFT does. The LEFT has no morals, no respect, and is willing to do whatever (even illegal things *cough* ACRON *cough* to win) yet the RIGHT is not willing to do this.

This is why we wil lose the war on Terror, just like we lost the war on drugs. Until you are willing to become the very monster you want to destroy forever will be beat you! How do you caught a serial killer? By thinking EXACLTY how s/he does.

Bush knew/knows this and did everything in his power (legal/illegal) to send forces that go "bump in the night" to keep us safe.

The RIGHT better come to it's sences soon and realize that in order to defeat the LEFT you must use the same tactics as they use. In war there are no rules; only survivors. We are in a war with the LEFT and the sooner you realize the statement above the sooner you may survive.

*you above is the READER (any reader) not just TJ.

the problem is, the right believes in the bill of rights and constitution, and lives by their words. The sooner we realize that the left, as you have already stated, will do anything to unseat those who rule from a just position; the right will continue to loose. We should not stoop to their levels, but rather beat them at their own game, by which i mean enforcing the laws and amendments set forth over 200 years ago, not those ridiculous interpretations by far left liberal, may i say idiot, judges legislating from the bench.

Typical unrealistic principal-ban guns and we will be safe from gun violence. These utopian idiots dream of a perfect world. No one is perfect. The government which wants to create this perfect world is far from perfect. So how does something imperfect create something perfect? Logic says its not possible therefore I have just proved that these people are irrational and illogical thinkers.

The Patriot Act was a bit of a mistake. It does some good things, but also granted the ability to listen to my phone call to India when I need computer help. I could get frustrated at the lack of communication and say something stupid that could be construed as a threat and then BOOM i'm on the National No-Fly/Terrorist Watch list. That's my problem with the whole Patriot Act. If not for that, we'd never have to worry about naming our kids due to people who may or may not have the same name as Joe Jimbob who's on the No-Fly list. :):

Thank you for the reminder about Clinton. Did you know Hellery wouldn't allow military personell to wear their dress or regular uniform while in the White House? "Dereliction of Duty" is a good book if you haven't read it.

Yes Clinton almost brought this Country to it's knees. He should have taken Bin Laden when he had the chance. Er, chances. You know, had he not destroyed the military we may not have had this ammo shortage aswell... Maybe.

I hold out hope that the members of Congress are finally realizing that no matter how many laws they pass that criminals are not going to obey them. At least I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt that they have more intelligence than the anti's. Also I think they realize that we can sure as hell fire their ass if they don't start showing some of that intelligence. stay safe
