Any of you fish for snappers? Im hitting up some local lakes (around warsaw) and I have been using chicken livers and some chunk meat with no luck? Any tips or really good places to find some snappers?

I used to live in rochester, and as a kid we would pull huge alligator snappers out of the hospital pond there. The river feeds the pond, and the pond feeds lake manitou there. Im sure its still a treasure trove of turtles.

Basically, we don't have them. Last documented alligator snapping turtle was almost thirty years ago, and many decades had passed before that one. Almost all documented alligator snappers were in the extreme southwest of the state (Ohio River.)
