Great letter. It shows that we are not oblivious as to what is going on. It does call our elected what they, in fact, are.

    In a cornfield.
The only thing that stops most people from looking at the real picture is the television itself. It used to be a form of pure information until corruption of men ruined it. Thank God for the internet, well most of the time.

    Where's the bacon?
    wow great find
how do we get this letter on the front page of every newspaper ?
    Front page? Probably not possible.
Editorial page? Write one just like it and send it to your own paper, and tell your pro-2A friends to do the same where they live. Lather, rinse, repeat.
"and they'll tell two friends, and so on, and so on, and so on."

One thing I want to add here, though: It is both false and insulting to classify ALL politicians in this way. While I understand that the primary ones we see (the Feinsteins, the Schumers, McCarthys, the Obamas, etc.) are correctly grouped, we cannot in any good conscience include the Pauls, the Nugents, the Tomes', or any other of those who have steadfastly championed our rights over the years if we want to see good people continue to step forward into the fray. Why would anyone want to take on a fight like this, only to be painted with that enormously broad brush?

Those who do lie, cheat, steal, and line their own pockets and nests are completely worthy of our ire and disgust, not to mention the age-old tar-and-feathering prior to being run out of town on a rail, but those who step up and do the job they were hired to do should be lauded and highly praised. We want good people in office; none of us consider (or at least not many or for long) that with that kind of public opinion, it is only those few of extreme fortitude or those who could not care less about public opinion or the name they make for themselves who will take on that title... and of those latter two groups, which do you suppose will take the grave responsibilities that accompany the title?

Let's also remember that even if they don't post here, many of our elected may be reading the board.

I know of at least two by name who do so.

    Blessings,
    Bill

He's from Connecticut, Bill. They may not have a Tomes or Nugent equivalent up there, just Warren/Schumer/Cuomo clones. So, while from an Indiana POV, his brush may have been overly broad...in Connecticut it may have been close enough.:D

You in public office are fundamentally dishonest people. You lead lives of deception at every turn, structuring your lives as comfortably as you can while governing with an indifference and arrogance that is absolutely maddening. When the country is reeling from financial disaster, you waste a trillion dollars on a health care bill we can't afford and you've never read. You claim it's critical because health care costs are killing this country... no they're not, you are! You are killing this country. You endorse the ongoing slaughter of millions of unborn children and whine when terrorists are water boarded. You can't lecture us right in Newtown High School about not doing enough to keep our children safe, while simultaneously slaughtering the unborn. You fabricate the intense, media laden drama of the fiscal cliff and lack the courage to do anything about truly reforming the obscene gluttony of government. You know you'll be out of office before the bill comes due… you don't care and have no integrity nor honor.

    Wow! Thats hard hitting stuff!
