Reading this thread makes me sad. :(

    1. People don't know the difference between a credit and deduction.
    2. People think money from the Gov't is free.
    3. People are willing to through away our rights for cash.

You say, "But, no, it's not giving up my rights, just taking advantage of a stupid law to make me some money."
I say, "You're forgetting about unintended consequences."

    Like,
    1. We all pay more in taxes to cover these credits.
    2. The price of guns skyrocket.
    3. Gun mfgr. realize they can make money producing crappy guns with high mark ups and stop making quality guns.
    4. Anti's scream, "See, even NRA members think these guns are bad and want them off the streets!"
    5. The program extends, and soon becomes mandatory because of the popularity.

But, hey, you got your hard earned money so what do you care about consequences?

And don't try and backpeddle and say, "this is just pillow talk, I'd never backstab other gun owners."
    :bs:

Time and time again we've proven we can be our own worst enemy when pitted against each other. We'd like to think we're above the fray, but , nay, we're greedy fools like the rest of humanity.
