It is hard to believe it has been 20 years. I remember that day very vividly and always will.

Prayers for the victims, their families and those who have given everything to fight the hatred in this world.

I remember it like it was just yesterday. Where I was, what I was doing and how I felt after seeing the 2nd plane fly into the building.

20 years! My grandchildren were not even thought about yet. Kids and immigrants cannot grasp the emotions we all felt that day.....even today, 20 years later.

I was thinking last night. I was born in 53' - less than 10 years after WWII. I grew up in a post WWII patriotic, flag waving country. Interesting. In the same time period after 9/11 we were catering to the muslim community. Shortly there after we had a muslim president and middle east politicians being elected to our government. These muslims speak out against the USA and our allies with great support from others.

We finally get a pro-USA president and the country goes madd. Now we have been taken over by a senile old mad who is being manipulated by those who hate the USA.

20 years ago today we stood against the anti-USA ideology; very thing that has taken over.

Even people here support the anti-USA movment. They'll deny it, but if you voted for Biden.......well, you're no patriot.

We need prayer; allot of prayer.

I had just resigned from my job, as I had accepted a greener field (later found out that field was moss covered cow poop).

I was working on tying up loose ends to hand over my workload. Then the news reports started.

I remember shock, sadness, bitterness and yes, hate. I wasn’t sure who I hated, only that it was hate for whomever did this

Manager came into the office and “tried” to make it clear that no comments would be accepted derogatory to potential guilty ideology. Well, being that I had already resigned and just serving out my 2-weeks, I stood up and let her rip. Oddly, seemed I hit the nail on the head as to what demonic ideology was behind the attacks.

Those pictures are amazing. Time flies. I was in junior high when the towers were hit. I had no idea the magnitude of what’d just happened. I still feel like Americans never got justice. You can bomb Afghanistan into oblivion, it’ll never repair the damage that happened to our republic that day.

Hell, the "masterminds" are still in Cuba waiting for a trial to begin...at significant cost to American taxpayers I might add.

Maybe it is well past time to deliver unto each of those mother ******* ******** a round of .308 to their ******* skull.

I’m just glad they’re still in there and haven’t been released. Should’ve tossed em off the boat halfway over and made em swim the rest of the way. If they made it, great, if not, even better.

I wish I could’ve experienced what America really was. Being 14 when it happened, i got a taste of it, but being so young you never appreciate it. Now that I’m older I would’ve loved to live in the country we used to be before all the spying, overreach, and technology. I love technology, but I hate it too. Let’s just take the internet back to the days of video games, porn, and instant messaging (all done separately). No more Reddit’s twitters facebooks, and get your damn news from a newspaper.

I was in a class on highschool that was set up just for me so I could work on the schools website. Rarely was there a teacher in the room with me. A teacher poked his head in the door and asked the teacher if she has heard of the attack.

I looked up from the computer and said "what attack?" The two teachers ignored me and walked out. I tried to bring up cnn.com bit the page wouldn't load due to high traffic. I walked down to the office bc I figured they'd have the TV's on. I walked in just to see the second plane hit.

I remember traffic backing up on main street in my tiny town bc the lone for the gas stations extended down the road. school was on lock down no one in or out.

A p.o.s. teacher I was never a fan of took it upon himself to skip all his "classes" for weeks so he could sit in a chair at the main entrance and read the paper and escort people the ten feet for m the door to the office. If you walked down the hall during class periods he would stop you and harass you for not being in class even if you had a pass or not.

There was a misguided kid in my class who always had a book by Marx on his desk. It was well known he skipped school one day to go to a war protest/anti bush demonstration. A bunch of kids joined him in skipping school to attend.

I remember a teacher saying something to the affect of "soandso is the only one who really deserved this skip be cause he has educated opinions and understand what's hes doing, the other kids just went along for a day off". a week later a pal and I left school at lunch and drove down town to a support the troops rally.

In 05 on 9/11 I graduated "college" half the ceremony was about the attacks and how IT people are needed more now than ever to prevent further attacks.

I know I'm just rambling, just a few thoughts that pop up when I think of 9/11

I was at work at BMG Music Club at the time. I happened to be in a political chat room I frequented at the time and someone mentioned a plane hitting one of the towers. At that point, most people though it was just an unfortunate accident. Then they said the second tower had been hit and then everyone knew it was no accident.

I went to our director's office and told him what was going on. We got the tv out of the conference room and brought it out into a big common area. There was no cable, and only a rudimentary antenna (two pieces of wire IIRC) since was really only used for presentations. A bunch of us gathered around the tv and two people grabbed each antenna wire, and then several of us all joined hands with them in a big circle which gave us better reception.

We all saw the towers collapse. We had a golf league at that time, and I was president, so I called off play that night (needless to say). I went home, then went to a strip club where I knew a lot of people. All eyes were on the tv's in the bar and nobody was paying any attention to the dancers on stage. It was a somber crowd and other than the music, the bar was pretty quiet as we started seeing video of rocket and anti-aircraft fire in Afghanistan (it was late night/early morning there).

I was in NJ on 9/11 and we lost a lot of people from my small town. I was in total shock and my wife and I got our kids from school and stayed with them the rest of the day. I remember it as if was yesterday. You could see downtown NYC smoldering for days and the smoke was terrible. Never forget, never! What has happened to the USA since then?

I was a LEO and had a part time job in a warehouse. After watching the news flash from New York, had a cup of coffee, my pager went off, and the PD had sent me a page to report to the station.

As I walked out, heard roar from the sky, and observed F16s on full afterburners headed towards
Chicago. They had missles under wings, and I knew is was SHTF.

My stomach dropped, and hoped we all would survive this mess.
My new born son was less than a year old, he will be 21 in October.
    We did survive.

I was in medical school at IU in a lecture. They put the news on the projector and dismissed us until after lunch. I loaned my phone to a girl who had family in NYC and wanted to call them.

Another girl was bawling. I asked her what was going on. She was crying because she knew we were going to war and she hated war

We lost so much that day beyond American lives. The TSA, Patriot Act, and numerous other three letter agencies and departments are the legacy of that day.

After Pearl Harbor we fought to uphold our principles, brought freedom to our enemies, and came out a stronger and better nation.

Sadly I don’t believe the same can be said of 9/11. We raced to give up our freedoms in the hopes of feeling safe again. I don’t feel safer and I know I’m far less free today.
