    It looks like 84 Lumber has money to burn...which surprises me because the reaction...other than stunned silence at the subject matter, that I heard ran the gamut from "84 Lumber is still in business?" to "I remember when there used to be an 84 Lumber in town."

    So I guess if the goal was letting people know they still exist...mission accomplished.

    I read a WSJ article on the subject. Typically the types of commercials they did are flops. A company inserting itself in to a social issue I think they referenced...

    Speaking of social issues- the Audi ad "what are you going to tell your daughter?"

    I may well tell her not to work for Audi because they apparently have a gender discrimination problem that they are just now working on.

    the rest of the country pretty much abandoned those policies decades ago.
