You can hit one with a .22 no doubt. My 7mm makes a spectacular explosion on it when filled with water, which was more my point. I just didn't have the time to expand on it more clearly. With a 168 gr. bullet it will take all North American game out to 500 yd. I have no doubt that it will hold an impressive group out quite far. I am looking forward to being able to stretch my rifle out past 200 yd. Still working on fine tuning the load.This whole thread makes me chuckle on so many different levels.
A milk-jug hit at 200 yards means 'it has the range?' I can hit a milk jug at 200 yards with a .22 with no wind. That doesn't make it a 'sniper rifle.'
As someone pointed out before, what exactly makes this a 'sniper' rifle for you? The 300WM is preferred because it shoots a heavier bullet = mo' dead.
