I have started to find more surplus ammo starting to become available but with the given state of demand it appears to be about $25-30 more then this time last year.

it's in stores a lot too.

I like shooting my Mosins and maybe someday I will buy another ROMAK.
I sold mine when I bought a Tigr which I loved but for familial reasons I sold it. :(
Now I wish I still had it or the ROMAK at least as they are fun guns to shoot.

Its available all day every day at my lgs. Surplus and new production. 7 bucks for a box of 20 and I think 230 for a case (880). A little high on the spam cans but when am I going to put 880 rounds through my mosin?

Yeah - more than a little high, I purchased my last spam can of 440 at the 2012 (I think Jan) for $70 - I have an 880 can I believe I paid around $100 for a couple of years ago - as well as another 440 I believe I paid around $60 for 3 or 4 years ago. Doubt I buy any more till things are more normal. The above cans are still sealed. Just finished giving 2 of my son's Mosin's this year, with around 70 ~ 80 rounds each to play with.

I see plenty of it for around $80-$90 a 440 can. They used to be $70 or so, but still at $90/440 that's only .20 cents a round still. Well below the price to reload for that caliber.

Agreed. Most of the spam cans I have seen go for around $90. That being said my lgs is and has been sitting on these crates for awhile. :) At some point I will pick a spam can up but not that worried about it as I have quite a few rounds and dont shoot the mosin that often.

Sorry been working way to many hours lately and have not had time to get on and read this thread. I am from Newton County IN and have been searching in my spare time for this ammo locally but have not found any yet. If any one knows of a shop close or between Remington and Munice that stocks the spam cans that would be great. Thank you for everyone's help.

Dunham's carries the 440 round spam cans. It occasionally goes on sale for $99 a can. You might watch their ads for it.
