So I'm tired of waiting every week to get to BassPro at the right time to find 4 little 50 round boxes of .22.
I'm taking a relative shooting soon and it kinda sucks.

What I have tons of though, is 7.62x54r brass, and some decent powder.
I've heard using lighter 13 grain gallery loads in 7.62x54r makes for a really low recoil round that even the kids can shoot.

How many of you have tried this, and is it really worth the time/effort/money as an alternative to .22 plinking?

I'm looking around for a good tutorial on loading these, if anyone has any links to some good guides, I'd appreciate the url.

If you are looking for a 7.62x54r round that the kids can shoot. After the panic subsides try looking for some of these.

Thanks, Shootin'IN! I checked out the link, asked around at some LGSes and actually managed to find a couple of packages of them @ 0.36c a round!

    32 cal Pistol bullets?

.32 cal pistol bullets are .312 diameter. Has anyone tried working up a light load with these?
