I have a 340PD and have yet to try a full house 357 in it!

I'll get a cylinder in it at the next range trip.

Why do you hate yourself so? You may want to roll video of that event, I'd love to see it, a 640 with full house loads is more than enough for me. But then I can't seem to relate to j-frames, they're just too small for my ham-hands.

My wife hates mine - she's pretty recoil sensitive. I love it though. I don't even mind the numb fingers I get after firing 6 cylinders of +P :D I carry mine on the ankle with 2 speedloaders in a pocket and am quite satisfied with it. Only thing I'd add is some LG-405 lasergrips. :spend:

Oh, wait. Are we derailing the thread? Here's a picture of 50 Cent:

I'm not a big fan of J-Frame .357s. Mainly because I don't have the sense to practice with 38 spls.

I do like my N-Frame scandium .357, though. The big grip tames the recoil quite well. Also, the 3 extra rounds are a bonus.

Love my 642. Uncle Mikespocket holster and Bianchi speed strip with 5 Rem,125jhp's and a shotshell round, and I'm ready to go. Great backup for a bigger gun.(or another J-frame)

I have had one for years, In the winter I would carry it in the right pocket of my duty coat, on a trafic stop I could have a gun pointed on target and no one was the wiser if thing went south you can fire it right thur the coat, nothing to snag on because of no exposed hammer, great little gun. :patriot:

I got a 642-2 for my wife for when she gets her LTCH. I carried it for the longest time until I put pink grips on it for her. I haven't touched the thing since.

So what does the extra 2 mean that is on the end of the model #?

That's change number 2. S&W revise their guns and when an update occurs, you get a change number increase.
