    45 colt load data

I also got a good deal on Hornady FTX .452 225 gr, but need load data for Colt 45 using Alliant Blue Dot powder.

I would think that lil gun powder would be nice with them but none of my manuals or load data has anything on those specific rounds. all the manuals list the 225 grain at 451 dia. remember what gun you are loading for as the cowboy guns can't take the beating of modern revolvers like the redhawk.

they list 12 grains of blue dot as start and 13 end with 225 451's

Hornday lil gun (or some variant of magic pixie dust) is what the lever evolution rounds I believe are loaded with.

45 colt load data for Hornady FTX 225 gr

Hornady tech support suggested using load data for the 250 gr. Unfortunately, Hornady doesn't manufacture the the FTX in 250 gr .45 colt bullet. So, I'm not sure to which 250 gr he was referring. I'm skeptical anyway as it seems the pressure differences, even between two like bullets with 25 gr difference between them, could be signficant.
