The old target load of cast 200 grain semi wadcutter style bullets over low to medium charges of Hercules Bullseye or WW231 sent numerous one whole groups out of pistols like that in the old days, they still work today. Good Luck and congratulations on the new to you pistol.

Try a 200 grain lead SWC with 4.2 grains of Alliant Bullseye or if jacketed (not plated) you can try a 185 grain JHP with 4.5 grains of Alliant Bullseye.

Yeah a 200 grain H&G#68 LSWC or clone over 4.2 - 4.6 grains of Bullseye would be a good load. If the OP is using an autodisc then he will be limited on the settings. I think 4.4 grains was an option for my old press. Bullseye is hard find! Winchester 231 or Clays would be another option. Win231 I think the auto disc had a 4.6 and 5.0 grain setting.

I really like the 200 grain wadcutters I get from Bayou Bullet.

I liked the Nosler 185 Custom Competition JHP and N310 if you are really looking for accuracy. The VV website has data. I loaded some and liked them, but realized that it's pretty expensive, so now I just shoot plated bullets! I don't need custom and I don't compete in bullseye competitions, so just really overkill for me. Fun to try though.

what do you think of 4.6 gr of bullseye pushing a 230 gr plated roundnose?

4.5 would be a starting load. Should be about right. I would expect it to be a bit more spirited then a target load. I would invest in a new recoil spring and firing pin spring just to make sure everything is fresh
