OK, so I am intrigued by stuff that makes your stuff do different stuff.

Saw this in a recent Sportsmand Guide catalogue.

Chamber adapter in .223 rem which takes a 209 shotshell primer to throw pellets out of your .223 rifle. No idea what kind of velocity it reaches. Seems like this would be fun to play with with an H&R break action. I have a .32 acp / .308 adapter and it works well. I am so tempted to try this.

I recall seeing similar kits to shoot .177 pellets out of .38 special revolvers and 1911's using a pistol primer and an accessory barrel that was held in place with some sort of rubber bushing like you put on the post of a shock absorber. Looks like a fun thing to play with.

It's interesting but it would still be considered a firearm which would kill the idea of using it within city limits

Did that years ago with a .22 hornet. Drill out the primer pocket with a 1/4" bit and file a bit off the rear of the case and you're good to go. My Hornet had a 24" barrel and was pretty near silent doing this. I could keep all my shots in a quarter at the 40 yards I could shoot in my back yard and the pellets would penetrate a 1" thick board.

My brother had one of those kits for his contender. Never understood, because he also had a 22 barrel for it. Think he only used one time.

I have a couple of adapters for shooting .22's out of a .223 barrel, one is for the contender and the other is for any other .223. The latter has a small plug that is inserted to make the centerfire hit the rim of the .22.

Saw that, still considering ordering it. Only trouble, my neighbors have a rough enough time seeing me in the yard with my super pellet gun, so I can't imagine the reaction parading around with my AR. :draw: Believe me, I'm as discreet as I can be, and an AR would make it interesting. :D
