Glad somebody brought up the idea of 22 handguns at 100 yrds, it is very possible and some of the most fun you can have.
And that was a HOOT! Speaking of which, Have you set a date/ picked a format for next April yet? I just built a toggle bolt 10/22 for entertainment and I'm gonna try it out tomorrow.it can be a blast, i held a ingo competition about 9 months ago. we shot 4 or 6 inch targets at 250yds. its pretty cool watching your bullet hit the target while your crosshairs are still on bull

I'm shooting a Marlin 795 with a little Simmons 3-9x40 22 mag scope. I stuck a bipod on it today for the first time too.
Now my wheels are turning. I'm going to have to do some research and see what I can come up with. I'm really intrigued by the idea of shooting MOA groups at 100 yards with an inexpensive plinker like the Marlin.
It's just a cheap shooters ridge 6-9". It's all right for what I'm doing with that little rifle. I wouldn't put one on a higher end rifle. There's a fair amout of flex when you lean into it. But for using it on a bench, I think it's fine.

Thanx.
Time for a little online shopping.
one inch groupes at 100 yards isnt bad.
I can shoot 1" groupings at 100yrs with my Savage, but I seem to have a hard time keeping a scope mounted securely on that rifle and often find myself re-field zeroing. I'm looking to buy a good fixed sight .22LR. Any suggestions?
