Rino's.. Not surprised. I'm sure all would vote for Jefferson "the Idiot" Shreve if they have a opportunity to..After passing the House committee and the full House, HB 1235 headed for the Senate. The pro-2A team was joined by Constitutional Attorney Jim Bopp from Terre Haute. That was a very long day but the bill narrowly passed out of committee. The bill passed the Senate, but we had six Republicans vote no
Let it be dismissed with Prejudice!A joint motion for judgment on the pleadings (a variety of a motion to dismiss) based upon H.E.A. 1235 has been filed on behalf of all of the manufacturer defendants in the Gary case. Under the local rules, a response is due on April 17th.
Well JD I think it's time to kick off the 2025 Legislative session thread. This seems like a good first post.I have kicked off this legislative session correspondence with a letter to Representatives Lucas, Mayfield, and Smaltz; and Senator Aaron Freeman.
The themes and requested actions revolved around amending Indiana's emergency authority for the executive. Reinvigorating firearms training within our public schools and support of the Constitutional duties of the militia. A better and deeper education on both the US and Indiana constitutions. Amending our red flag law to have more protections against false reporting, and stopping non-adjudicated forfeiture.
What will be the primary focus of ISRPA this legislative session?
My hope is a strong push to fix Nantz. The best outcome would be strong protection for use of force in protection of property used for livelihood, primary residence, and transportation.
I also hope, on a non firearms related basis, that Indiana can get its budget in order after blowing projected expenses quite badly over the last two years. If Indiana does not do a better job on both projection of revenue and expense, our surplus will be quickly gone reducing us to no better than blue states.
Found answer to my question . . . with Case minutes and posted current timeline under the new 2025 legislative thread. Note that it's grinding on with a deadline for Glock next week on October 9th. Uploaded six PDFs of Motions/Responses by Gary and Glock plus Orders by Trial Judge Sedia in this posting under that thread.Status of Gary v. Glock?
Trial Judge Sedia in Gary denied motion to dismiss the lawsuit in August, about two months ago (that should have been no surprise). Defendants made motion to file interlocutory appeal to Indiana Court of Appeals, which was granted in September (??). Under Indiana trial rules, the trial court must grant permission to file an interlocutory to the appeals court.
Found this online article about it by Chicago Tribune here:

It's now a month after Chicago Tribune reported on it. This is as bad as Freddy Kruger, Jason Voorhees, and Michael Myers all combined into one satanically evil horror villain, refusing to die.
Do we need to add Gary v. Glock to the 2025 Legislative Projects?
