I need some live ones up by the cabin. Middle of nowhere. I shot the only one I've seen up there after he tunneled into my outhouse. That was a whole new story though.

A little bit of lunch time activity. 75 yards off the front porch into the pasture. He would scamper, pop his head up, scamper, pop his head up. He had to keep looking up to make sure he was safe. Lol

When I finally got around to taking Mr. Groundhog to his new home in the bone pile it was night and I rounded the barn to see six sets of eyes looking back at me. When I left I was able to confirm that four of those sets of eyes belonged to fox pups.

I have a groundhog problem at my property so I bought a large live trap ( about $70 bucks) and set it next to the barn, when I checked the trap the trap was tripped but the groundhog ripped some of the wires out of the back of the trap and got out, I'm gonna need to bring the trap home and do some welding. I can't believe a large groundhog got out of such a small opening. I love wildlife but I truly hate these things!!!!!

The local dogs and coyotes have wiped out the groundhogs around our small farm. I'll have to look closer and more often to see if they are coming back here. It's been around 20 years since I've seen one there.
