Dave Molinari, Pittsburgh Post writer for everything Penguins, is expecting Matt Murray back in the net tonight as the starter after watching the Pens during their optional game day skate earlier today. https://mobile.twitter.com/MolinariPG/status/735131798494162944
Good. But I don't know if it is good enough. Our defense has always been weak. We can only win by outscoring them. Murray or MAF are both weaker than I would like, but they also get very little help from the other five on the ice. Tampa is showing that it can run and gun with us. Even if we make it past them, either the Sharks or Blues will be hard to outscore as well.
The Penguins win game 6 against the Lightning 5 - 2. The series is tied 3 - 3. Winner of the next game goes on to the Stanley Cup Finals. Game highlights
We'll see. Our defense is still our weakest link. Murray looks good when he only faces 11 shots in two periods. In the first half of the third, he faced 12 and let two in. If we play like we did for the first two periods, we will be fine. If we don't...we are done.
The Sharks defeated the Blues 5 - 2 in game 6 thereby knocking the Blues out of the playoffs. The Sharks advance to the Stanley Cup Final. Game highlights
Their opponent will be determined in tonight's game.
