2016: Obama's America movie

What's the movie going to tell us that we don't already know?

Majority of the items that were presented I already knew.

What it did present that I did not have a perspective about was the background of Obama's doctrine from the perspective of an immigrant man of color that came out of a third world country. He sees Obama for what he wants to do to our country, our economy and our world.

Well worth seeing.

Has anyone been to see this film yet?

There's another thread here somewhere about this. We went to see it this afternoon at the AMC Traders Point Cinema. The theater was about half full, mostly middle-aged to elderly folks.

I've not read either of D'Souza's books about Obama, and didn't learn a whole lot that I hadn't already known about to a certain extent, but D'Souza made a good case for his view of Obama as primarily a left-leaning anti-colonialist who believes the US is the last of the great "colonialist" nations. It's the scariest, most depressing movie I've been to in some time.

It wasn't shown anywhere around where I live. But, I heard it broke box office $ records the first night. More people NEED to learn about him. He has no idea what America is or what we stand for.

I suppose it is a lot of the same information revealed in the 2008 election, which everyone dismissed as negative campaign rhetoric instead of the truth. After four years many more disturbing truths have been found, but the liberals will never care, because they project their own beliefs upon Obama, independent of reality. Until Obama personally puts them in prison or takes all their money and freedoms away, they will continue to obey him.

This film does not need to convince liberals that Obama is bad, it only needs to convince conservatives to vote.

I'm not so sure about that. A lot of Libs are turning away from him now. Will there be enough to do the job? Who knows, but at least he doesn't have what he had on '08 and it shows on him. (Yeah, he knows it but his ego won't allow him to show it as much)

My wife and I saw it this morning and the theater was about 75% full, all middle aged and older couples (with exception of us). By the pre-movie conversation I overheard, it was fairly apparent that no one in there was going to vote for Obama regardless of what they saw.

I will admit, I have been torn between voting for Mitt and just staying home on Tuesday myself.

I would have liked to have seen more sources being cited during the movie though. Propaganda that supports your own position is still propaganda.

It is artistically pretty good, and it gets its neoconservative message across to the assembled choir. But on the issues that really matter, it is either wrong-headed or silent. On foreign policy, it is a defense of the neoconservatives’ version of Middle Eastern foreign policy. He devotes a lot of time interviewing Daniel Pipes. Pipes is a major proponent of the neoconservatives’ interventionist Middle Eastern policy. On the real federal deficit — unfunded liabilities — it is silent. On the on-budget deficit, it ignores Bush and Congress. The deficit is a bipartisan disaster. To suggest otherwise is not just misleading, it is deceptive. It raises hope where there is none. “If only we will not re-elect Obama!” On the deficits — on-budget and off-budget — it makes not a whit of difference. There will be a Great Default.

i thought it was a good, eye opener. If i though obama was a socialist before....wow. what kill me are the things he does that Reps AND Dems would NEVER do, such as side with the palestenians instead of Israel.

if you are a patriot, and on the fence about the election, see the movie.

I think this guy should make his own documentary if he thinks it was this bad.

I just saw it in Schererville, it was the late showing, so there was only 8 people there. If everyone waited for it to come out on DVD, like the reviewer above suggested, that would be a waste. It IS an eyeopener. Its not Hannity calling BO a socialist, its someone with a different view of America trying to get into BO's psyche. Why he does the things he does.
What created his views. This guy is not some left-wing nut job, he's worse. Go see it!

I wanted to bump this thread. People should see the movie and keep it showing. I agree that most seeing it weren't voting for him anyway, but I felt it gave a lot of history and insight to many of the things that have happened and possible explanations for these.


If you're thinking about it, go see it.

I personally like watching movies that are entertaining. Having said that, I might watch 2016 just so I can say I did.

I went to see 2016 last Thursday. I was somewhat disappointed since I already knew most of what the documentary "exposed" - BUT - it would be helpful in educating others who haven't been exposed to the truth about (Dictator) Obama. (for whatever reason)
