I ended up with a Kimber custom classic II and I love it! Trigger pull is like pulling your finger through warm butter. Eats everything I have thrown at it. I fell into this one years ago or I would never have been able to afford it. Looking at Springfield Armory for my second 1911. And everyone is correct Just can't get enough of those 1911's. :D

The only thing worse than black rifle disease is 1911itus ... you have been warned :D

Black rifle disease can be overcome. I have done it. Have a few and no need for another. Let the market go ape-**** and it will cure all but the worst cases.
Now, 1911itis is in my oh so humble opinion.....un-curable.

Saw a nice one in the classifieds. Need it like a hole in my head....driving 90 miles one way this weekend to get it. The other kids in the safe need a new friend.......................:D

Hello....my name is churchmouse. I am an addict.

ITP had a Ruger on Sunday, $699 if memory serves me but it's probably gone by now. I used to say Ruger or Kimber but recently I've had a couple Rock Islands in the 22TCM and they are very nice pistols for the money invested.
