3 is light to me but I am a rock ape so all a matter of perception. All of mine are right at 3.5 or a bit higher. I want to intend for the gun to go off.
I have been looking for another 1911 lately but nothing has jumped out at me or given me the shivers. Looked at and fondled everything I have seen....no joy. Am I cured of the addiction.?? Oh what will I do now??

Not extremely so. But, I'd still gauge it to see. Sometimes the pull is actually heavier than we think, if the transition is very smooth.

Well that was part of it, the trigger was sooo smooth! and it didnt travel at all after dropping the hammer! Minimal slop up and down, over all a very tight feeling trigger. Its was a smooth sweet click!

A short while back, I handled a Kimber Super Match from the Custom Shop.
Every single one of us that tried the trigger were like, "Holy crap! That has to be 2.5#!!"

A 1911 armorer guessed "3.5, but super smooth."
    We gauged it.
    It was well over 4.5.
    Awesome.

Where did you find the RO at?

    Congrats on the new 1911!

Bob had one out in Plainfield. I had been to a few shops today and I called ahead. They just got one as there were none last week. They were kind enough to hold it for an hour so I could get out there.
I have had 2 of these before this one. Let them go for some reason I have yet to figure out. This one is staying.

PSS is a great shop. It's a long drive for me to get there but I have bought a few guns from them.

Did they have any Sig 1911's?

sigs= nice; colt or springfield= very nice :)

I had a Sig Tac Ops w/ threaded barrel and really liked it a lot. But sold it off. I have since been looking for another railed 1911, but wanted something like Colt or Springfield...
Well I just picked up a very nice Springfield TRP Operator w/ Full Rail in a trade so my wish came true....

I think the Ruger @ $7.50 is hard to beat.
It and the Springfield are great shooters and fill your hand nicely.
I have been disapointed in the S&W.
