    That Range Officer is the finest fitted 1911 for less than $900 in my opinion. But for a few dollars more the TRP rivals many custom 1911's costing considerably more.

    No argument from me on that, since I have owned a TRP in the past , but that "few dollars more" is like $400-500 more in most cases and the TRP is hard to find right now from what I have seen....... and I know where a few ROs are at ;)
    But with the TRP you get , great Novak night sights, mean 20lpi checkering , G10 grips, magwell, match barrel and fitting so yea the price is well justified on it :)

    I love my Springfield Operator. First 1911 I have had that passed Hilton Yam's extractor test from the factory.
    So far I have added a 10-8 flat trigger, stainless slotted grip screws and ergo black grips. will get the trigger guard undercut and front strap checkered eventually.
