These were the most "loved" 870s I have ever seen. While cosmetically they are ghastly, they ARE Wingmasters, and the internals are not used-up.

Here are some crappy cellphone pics...

That's craptastic! :D Would be a prime candidate for Wilson/Scattergun's "Remington Steal" package (do they still do that?), or as a DIY project. So what do you have planned for this one?

WC still has the Remington Steal package up on their site, so I'd assume they're still doing them.

Is it really worth it? I mean I can get an 870 express for $250 and its new as opposed to really old and used with more question marks inside than the Riddler's wardrobe.

I think it's worth it. There's just something about an old Wingmaster that makes it "better" than a new Express. All the parts are metal, the action is smooth, the bolt is polished... It's just a great old gun. As for the internal "question marks", this gun is in exceptional shape inside. There isn't much wear on the action bars, bolt tracks, shell stops or anywhere else. These guns were carried lots, but likely shot very little. I can tell that my trap pump-gun has far more wear internally than this shotgun. For the price, I'd definitely say they were worth it.

Good points, there's something to be said for older, all metal guns and nearly all police shotguns are fired very little as they typically don't practice much with shotties. If I could get up there before they sold them all, I might buy one, but I doubt they'll last that long.
