    I like Taurus revolvers myself.Had a Tracker .17 and still have a Tracker .22mag. They are 6.5" barrel plinkers I picked up cheap.I wouldn't carry a .17 for a back up,I carry a .357 snubbie.I have carried my PMR 30 though.I can pump out 60 rounds in about 15 seconds with it.

I've got a Winchester Model 94 in .17 HMR and I really like the round. I've witnessed some exploding prairie dogs with it (never saw that with 22s!). Ammo isn't too bad, as I can find ammo as low as $10 for 50 rounds (I just bought a box of 500 for $100).

Bunny kid is right. $300 range used.

I had one in stainless and sold it. Missed it and bought one in black from the kidd. It is a straight shooter. No recoil at all.
I have a thumb hole stock, stainless bull barrel savage in .17 HMR as well. Tack driver.

My buddy was shooting it and popped (literally) a tree rat with it. Not much left to eat.

I have a couple CZ 452s in 17HMR. The 452 Varmint is just crazy accurate! I had a Tracker in 17 and sold it. It was ok, just not my cup of tea.
