It can happen. If you really believed him, you wouldn't have asked us though!
You can find used Stevens, Savages, Springfields, even older Winchesters for 100 bucks fairly easily and they do work...they work very well in most cases. Of course these will be fixed choke, long barrel (28 inch normally), 5 round capacity guns but they are not hard to find in Indiana. Often the blueing will be very worn and the stocks rough be completely serviceable. I think I could probably go pick up 4 or 5 today if I wanted to. I know the local pawnshop often has a couple in stock tho this time of the year can be a little tougher with deer season. After Christmas is a great time to shop for them.
Not too shabby indeed!A few months ago I bought four used 12ga Maverick 88's for $380 out the door. They were all very sound and in great shape. The pawn shop just needed to move some inventory so I got a deal. $95 a piece is not too shabby.
I'd call that a very good score!i got a mossberg 500 with 2 barrels for 150
You could apply the $100 you made toward the purchase of a brand new one and you would still have a heck of a deal!I bought a mossberg 500 for a 100 bucks last year, really good lookin and mechanically sound, sold it for 200 about a month ago really thinking about tryin to buy it back or maybe buy a new one??
