10/22 Take Down

Ruger just came out with the 10/22 takedown rifle. I think it's pretty cool

I don't know if this one has been mentioned in a previous thread, but it sure looks like a great candidate to pick up at my local WalMart, when they get this one in. I'm not a 10/22 groupie, but I do like 10/22's and this would be a tremendous gun to take camping, and whatever else you might need it for.

I think all the take down rifles have their place. Now that I can have the same mags as my other 22lr I'm going to sell my marlin papoose and buy a 10-22 TD. If for no other reason than to have two rifles that take the same parts and magazines. I like that Ruger brought this new rifle out. I saw it on gunbroker for $330 plus $30 S&H. For what it is, that's not too bad.

This is awesome! Thanks for posting it! Did not even know Ruger was coming out with this...I believe this will beat out any take down rifle out there! Great concept, love the 10/22! For portability, accuracy...you cant beat the 10/22.

Looks like the aftermarket accessories will work...

This is the perfect truck gun. Compact, stowable, can pack lots of ammo... I think I need one.

While it may not be as compact as the Henry Survival Rifle, I would prefer the 10/22 take down over the Henry. Mainly because I am much more familiar with this rifle (since I already own one) and would only have to buy accessories for the 10/22. Now I just need to figure out how well it would attach to my B.O.B.
