I bought this to carry with me. It was on sale for around $50. So far it works decent for topping off my tires and I can charge it from my usb port on the bike if necessary. I also carry plugs, co2 kit, and a compact bicycle hand pump... that's probably overboard but I like back up options.
I went that way a few years back and waited until the first of October hoping to catch the trees turning but everything was still green. Hopefully, you will have better luck since the trees here in Indiana are showing some early color. Safe travels!
We beat the crowds at Sturgis by sneaking out for a week long trip in July. Excellent weather and I actually got to do some fire tower roads and other non paved exploration this time.
