      What makes you carry?

It was actually a recent situation for me. I should have gotten it a long time ago but it wouldn't have helped in my situation. My girlfriend and I had got off work around the same time. I went to my house and she did some shopping and went to her apartment. I noticed she stopped responding to...

Were you anti-gun before you were pro?

I grew up around guns. I was too young to remember the first time I shot one but it was a .357 revolver of some kind (with my father's assistance of course). Generally any time I'd visit my family in Ohio for holidays and such the long guns would come out and we'd shoot clay pigeons or go out in...

      Current LTCH Wait

I did my fingerprints and payments on 5/5 and received my LTCH on 5/15. I was slightly nervous because the lady that helped me at the local PD was a trainee and she seemed a bit unsure. She kept leaving to ask her co-worker for help. Apparently everything worked out well!

How much was your first handgun?

RIA 1911 GI chambered in 9mm. Sticker price was 480.

What's the big deal with lasers and tactical flashlights

I keep a light on my g19 when it's my nightstand gun. Same goes for my ar15. I take the light of the g19 when I go to the range since I don't have a holster that will accommodate it. I don't bother taking it off the rifle as it's out of the way and more of a pain to remove. Most of the time I'm...

What is Your Favorite Gun Movie?

Might be an unpopular choice but I really like The Quick and the Dead with Gene Hackman. Also a worth mention is the final scene in the most recent Rambo movie. Gibs delight!

Dry firing at the gun shop counter?

I was under the impression that it was an etiquette no-no. I only dry fired a gun once and it was at the insistence of one of the shop clerks so I could get a feel for the trigger. Other than that I make a conscious effort to not dry fire any firearm that isn't mine whether it's a friend's gun...

AR-15 running full auto filmed at 18,000 FPS.

These guys make some pretty funny videos. Nice to see a full auto slowed down that much.

      Always be ready

The staircase stash would actually be pretty awesome to have. The couch safe looks way too expensive though.

      Your next handgun purchase?

I'm hoping to be buying a Ruger SR1911 in the near future. Or a similarly priced nice 1911. I still need to move a couple of my current firearms before i can.. pull the trigger.. on the purchase. I love buying guns but I'm trying to avoid going into debt or forcing myself into a ramen diet.

Anyone ever shoot a hole in their house?

I can't remember all the details but my friend's dad had purchased a new 1911 and wanted to show it off. My friend had just woken up, looked at it, set it down and went off to the bathroom. In between leaving and coming back, his dad thought he was done looking at it and reloaded it, cocked and...

      Always be ready

Heh that's ridiculous. I'm sure there are inventions more strange than that though when it comes to firearm storage/deployment. I think it'd be better if he didn't have that smirk on his face at the end.

Tell us your cool gun dreams!

Usually my "violent" dreams involve me trying to fight while not being able to lift my arms to punch. Like they weigh 2 tons each. I actually had a dream a few days ago that I was at my mom's place and she was telling me about a guy from her past that had been bothering her and was threatening...

      Your oldest firearm?

I have a Stevens Model 87a that I believe dates back to the 1940s. It was my grandfather's rifle and then my father's. Now it's mine!

      Armscor Rock Island 1911 ,45acp- $325?

Go for it. I have 1500ish rounds through mine (9mm) at this point and I've had no problems with it aside from one failure to fire with some ancient ammo my uncle dug out of his attic. I should say though I will soon be selling it to a friend because I'd like to get a 1911 in .45. I've had my eye...

      Night stand gun

I keep my Glock 19 on a shelf on my headboard and my ar-15 between my headboard and nightstand. In case I'm attacked by a small militia and 15 rounds from my Glock isn't enough. I also have another firearm in a hidden spot elsewhere in my house in the event I need to move and grab another...

      Bill of Sale template

I was looking for something like this but I think the links OP provided are a bit overkill for my needs. I'm selling one of my handguns to a co-worker I've known for quite some time. I think something a little more simple will handle my needs. I trust the guy. I can see how someone would want...

      Daniel Defense commericial looks mainstream

I suddenly have that same feeling. Must... buy... Daniel... Defense. But seriously it was a cool commercial. Subtle but easy to figure out.

What do you use to clean your firearms?

I use some Hoppes stuff that came in a kit I bought at a retail store. I've heard/read good things about Ballistol but haven't had the motivation to buy any yet. I still have plenty of the Hoppes stuff so I'm in no rush to try it out. Unless someone can confirm its angelic cleaning properties.
