S&W is once again making the Model 58. This is the M&P version of the 41 magnum.
4inch heavier barrel and fixed sights. They are a compact, very powerful handgun.
This is on the N frame. Model 57 and 657 is the hunting version.
41 magnum is a very good round that never got much interest. It is...
This is an original Colt. The ones at Brownells are made by Ciener. The Colt is different. They are the floating chamber type with a steel slide. Most other conversions (Marvel, Ciener, etc) have an aluminum slide and no floating chamber. I don't know about the Kimber.
The floating chamber...
I have been thinking about buying a 7.62x39 upper for an AR. I think it would give you more choice in ammo. I have no experience with this but it looks easy to do.
Welcome. I am a new member, myself. I have been shooting and reloading for almost 50 years. I have seen many changes. I live in So IN near Louisville, KY
The Keltecs have a hammer that revolves around a pin. Dropping does not cause the hammer to move. I have never heard of this being a problem with Keltec. I used to own a Keltec and I would rather have the Ruger. It appears to be sturdier.
You will not be sorry with the Glock. I have owned quite a few pistols and the Glocks give me less trouble than most. They are very simple to get going but they do have a rather long trigger pull. This is when you are used to a single action like the 1911.
Browning Nomad 22 in 1962. This action is still made as the Challenger, a more expensive model. The Nomad was bare bones but shot very well. I still have it.
I blew apart a Colt single action that way. Either a double charge of powder or the cylinder did not line up! Stainless steel is not as forgiving as steel when pressure is excessive. A steel barrel may only bulge.
Check your reloads carefully.
I have a Colt 22 conversion kit for the 1911 I will sell. It has been used but still in the original box. I also have one extra magazine for it. (2 total) $400 for all.
