If you are in a situation where you need to pull a gun you better be ready and willing to use it.
It's a weapon not a bargaining chip.
If used properly handcuffs will not be needed.
I've found being 6' 4" and about 280 affords me a better selection of what I can conceal. What would stand out on a smaller person isn't as noticeable on me. I can carry a Glock 23 or a Smith and Wesson 627 "N" frame without any problems.
The key here is to put whatever is leaving the barrel where it needs to go.
FMJ, Hollow point, Soft nose, Cast lead or whatever.
If you can't put it where it needs to go bullet choice means nothing.
For true self defence you won't be shooting more than maybe 12 feet. Properly placed from 12...
