Vote Here -> Round 2: INGO- Indiana Gun Shop of the Year -2011

I usually stick to the Griffith Blyth's but have been gradually making more trips out to Valpo, they seem to give me some better deals. Both stores have been very good to deal with. I will agree that Brian is one of the best to deal with at the Griffith store.

      Thoughts on Kimber pistols

I love my Tactical Pro II, as said it is very accurate. I have had some issues with feeding but I don't even have 300 rds through it. My dad has a Ultra Crimson Carry and it went through the same thing but both are very nice and shoot very well. I definitely recommend them.

      Unknown Cartridge

Thats cool having a real piece of history... Thanks for finding it for us, I just showed my grandpa the feasibility study. He worked with one of the guys that was doing the R&D on these at IIT but couldn't remember exactly what it was.

      Unknown Cartridge

I am going to call on some of the firearms experts here. My grandpa found this around his house from when he was doing research for IIT. We are both at a loss for what it would be. It appears to be a .223 bullet in a unknown cartridge. This was made in approximately 1970. Thank you for any...

Anybody own, sold, love, or hate a Taurus 1911

My grandpa has one and loves it, accurate, reliable and good price.

      Kahr pm9 accuracy expectations?

my k40 seems fairly accurate once you get used to the trigger that was the big problem i had with it

First Shotgun - O/U or Pump?

I love my 870 and all i do is shoot clays with it, for just starting I don't think it would be a bad choice plus the price is good. IF you wanted to move into the competitive shooting you can always pick something else up and sell the 870. This just gives you a good cheap option in case you...

      Rem 870 Price

      Sight dot fell out

Same happened to my dads m&p 9... still haven't done anything with it yet, the crimson trace grips still work though so it hasn't been of great importance

      NWI INGO MEET & SHOOT - 19 MAR 2011

I should hopefully be able to come out. Saturdays are definitely easier but as long as I have a little bit of notice I should be able to come out regardless.

      Savage 10fp problem or ammo

I will keep this in mind when buying ammo for my Savage... I haven't run into any issues yet. I would agree that the ammo was pretty hot or real cheap brass.

      SHTF rifle opinions

Me personally I would love to have the SCAR 17 for a scenario such as this... stopping power would not be an issue

      Franchi I-12

I think for the time being that I will hold onto it until I find something worth while to sell it for.

      Pump shotguns to avoid?

I have both a wingmaster and an express. The fit and finish on the wingmaster even though it was built in 77 is nicer than the express. To be honest though I have no problems with either and they both seem better built than my buddies mossberg.

      Problem Solvers? 870 Wingmaster

I just took a look at mine and as Unclemike said that would be my recommendation as well, you can clean the magazine tube but it would take a lot of gunk to cause any issues in with that.

      DA/SA guns?

I will say from having smaller hands my self, the sig is a large gun as far as the handle is concerned. I don't have any problems with the beretta though feels large. Take a look at the USP's as the handle fits into my hand very well, it may fit into his as well.

      DA/SA guns?

Agreed... I love my USP .40 Compact but originally was planning on picking up a Sig. The only reason I did this was the feel of the gun. I recently picked up a beretta 90-two and that is an excellent gun as well. What it comes down to is the feel.

A little story about my experience at Cabela's today

Cabelas has always been good for my dad and I as well. We had even bought a used gun from them and they allowed it to be returned due to a feeding issue we had with it.

      Franchi I-12

It is an I-12 diamond, from my understanding it is the same as the I-12 limited that is shown on Franchi's website with minor differences to the etching on the sides.

      Long range target rifle?

It is part of their Law Enforcement series, on Savages website it is the Model 10 precision carbine and is also available in .223. I looked at the remington 700's but the reviews had seemed a bit spotty lately and I couldn't find any bad reviews on this. Match ammo is not particularly cheap but...
