I have fired the Hornady Critical Defense and Critical Duty from a Beretta 92FS. Both worked but I would not recommend regular use of the C Defense in longer barreled pistols.
Both are reliable weapons. My Mother in Law carries the Beretta and my brother the FNS 9. I will say this; the Beretta needs to be well-maintained (yes I know all weapons need that; but that model of Beretta needs it more). That's just my 2 cents.
I agree. Put the thing through the ringer while training with it; then care for it like it's your new born baby. Only then can you truly trust your weapon.
I agree that would be a bit much for a recoil spring. I have mixed feelings about aftermarket parts. I like doing custom work; but keeping OEM warranty is also desirable.
I agree, the grip is a bit big. If you are just using it as a range tool or a collectable that gets fired by the family every Christmas it shouldn't be an issue. If it's something that you want to use regularly and you have small hands then by all means avoid this thing.
Personally I run a box of each (FMJ/SD) through at minimum. My smaller carry gun is a little over a month old and has already seen about 300 rds with no issues. My larger carry is a Glock 22 Gen 3 PD Trade In that has seen some real service time. I still have had no issues after a box of ammo...
It's a preference. Personally I carry a Browning 1911-380 or a Glock. I have trained past the safety on the 1911; but many don't have the time to commit to drawing and turning the safety off at the same time. With a 1911, you have to train much more muscle memory than weapons with trigger...
My brother has a FNS 9 and lives in IL. I am looking to hook him up with some accessories for Christmas. He wants to use the Urban Carry G2 for concealment so the accessories need to be compatible with this decision. Any recommendations?
Regardless of what you think of the 1911 style firearm, you have to try the Coonan 1911. It's chambered in 357 Magnum and it's one of the most amazing cannons I have ever fired. People that aren't used to heavy calibers will definitely feel the power after about 50 rounds. I highly recommend...
