      Very nice doggy daddy. I actually made my own scope rail out of a picatinny blank. I'll try to post some pics of it up later.

      Mosin Scout Rifle

      Has anybody built a Mosin Nagant scout rifle? I'm in the process, I have cut the barrel down to 18", it's currently at a friends house in a lathe, we're turning down the muzzle to accept an M1 front sight and threading it for a flash suppressor or possibly a break. Just wondering if any one else...

      1/7 twist, would I like it ?

      I have a couple uppers I have built for coyote hunting. 1 is a great 20" 1/7 in .223 Wylie the other is a 18" 1/9 in 5.56 . The 1/7 shoots best with 53gr vmax and the 1/9 likes 55gr hp/bt . I guess you'll just have to find out what it likes.
