      No, it is hollow with the same gray plastic piece on the end (down at the bottom). On the top is a little spring resistant metal piece. You push it in and it pops right back out.

      OK, very strange. I just pulled them out of the bag. I had always assumed they were tubes. They are not. They are solid plastic with those gray plastic ends.
